What the Jury is Looking For – Tips for a Strong Submission
Submitting for the World Air Cargo Awards is a chance to showcase your best work and demonstrate why you stand out in our industry. To help you prepare, here are some tips on what our jury values most when reviewing entries:
1. Focus on what makes you unique
Avoid spending too much space on general, well-known, or public information. Instead, highlight the specific strengths, achievements, or innovations that set you apart.
2. Keep it clear and structured
The best submissions are easy to read. Use short paragraphs, bullet points, and clear headings so the jury can quickly grasp your key points.
3. Show evidence of impact
Back up your claims with facts, figures, or examples. Demonstrating measurable results will make your story more convincing.
4. Tell a story
Beyond data, explain the “why” and “how”, what challenge you faced, what solution you developed, and what difference it made. A strong narrative leaves a lasting impression.
5. Be concise
Quality over quantity. Long texts can dilute your message, so keep your answers focused and to the point.
6. Keep the audience in mind
Remember, the jury may not know your company in detail. Write in a way that is accessible and understandable, avoiding too much jargon.
7. Aim for a ‘Wow factor’
Think about how your submission will resonate with the jury as a whole. What makes it inspiring, memorable, and worth recognising?
In short: Be clear, be specific, be impactful.
