Danita Waterfall-Brizzi is a global aviation and air cargo executive with more than 30 years of experience shaping international networks, partnerships, and transformation strategies across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, and the Americas. Her career spans periods of industry change, where she has consistently operated at the intersection of commercial performance, operational resilience and long-term sustainability.

Recruited directly out of out of graduate school in the United States, she launched her career in Europe and later Moscow, Russia where she served as Director of the Delta – Aeroflot Joint Venture. Her passion for all things aviation has flourished with hands-on experience in global sales, security, staffing, government regulations, labour laws, operational improvement, executive sourcing, and more recently sustainability and digitisation.

Over two decades at Delta Air Lines, Danita held senior leadership roles in cargo sales and operations across EMEA and the Indian subcontinent. During this time, she played a key role in integrating Northwest Airlines into Delta following the 2008 merger and was instrumental in developing the landmark cargo joint venture between Delta, Air France-KLM, and Virgin Atlantic.

In recent years, Danita has worked globally as a consultant in air cargo and logistics, advising airlines, airports, and industry stakeholders on navigating the industry’s transition towards a more sustainable, data-driven and digitally enabled future. As Vice President at Hospitio Consulting, headquartered in Texas, she leads the firm’s cargo and logistics practice, guiding clients through transformation initiatives that balance commercial growth with environmental responsibility and organisational readiness.

Her professional focus includes sustainable business development strategy, cargo network optimisation, revenue management and pricing analytics, supply chain process improvement, vendor procurement, performance optimization, and digital transformation – helping organisations move from incremental improvement to systemic change. Danita is particularly known for translating sustainability ambition into practical, scalable strategies that deliver measurable impact.

Danita holds dual U.S. and Italian citizenship and speaks English, Russian, German, with working proficiency in French and Italian.
